The Ilê Aiyê festival has two categories: Theme and Poetry. The theme category is for specific songs related to the theme of our carnival. The songs in the Poetry category are free for the composer to express their feelings of self-esteem, black consciousness, exaltation of black women, songs that talk about Ilê Aiyê, as they will be part of the group's repertoire.
